We are an organization dedicated to enriching the learning experience and environment for students, teachers, and staff at Southwood Elementary. Our goal is to foster a sense of community among the "school family" at Southwood (six grade levels, Magic Strings, Individual Achievement Program, ECEAP, and a preschool).

The Southwood Elementary PTA is a non-proft 501 c-3, and you may make tax deductible donations to the PTA at anytime. Your monetary contributions and volunteer hours make programs such as these possible:

• Student learning programs such as the Gizmo's Math & Science Program and providing National Geographic magazines for each classroom
• Programs and events such as Student Yearbooks, Family Fun Nights, and Assemblies
• Providing technology for the classrooms, such as document cameras and more
• Offering Teacher Support Grants and Staff Appreciation Week
• School beautification, including planting flowers and pressure washing
