PTA meeting: The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. in room 603. This will be the final PTA meeting of the year, and next year's officers will be elected. Childcare will be provided.

Nominees for Next Year's PTA Offciers: Nominated for Co-Presidents are Anna-Cajsa Gipson and Bethanie Roddy. Nominated for Co-Vice Presidents are Diahn Boline and Jody Emerson. Nominated for Secretary is Naomi Kephart. Nominated for Treasurer is Diane Demorset.

Running Club: The spring Running Club is taking place during the lunchtime recess on dry days. This year's Spring Fun Run will be taking place in May. Runners will need to complete four cards in order to qualify to enter the fun run. The fun run is a mile long, and takes place during the school day.

Fridays: Southwood Panther Day: Every Friday we will display our Southwood Panther pride by wearing our Southwood shirts or something in Southwood colors (teal and black).

Upcoming Panther Spirit Days: May 16 will be Southwood Panther Day. June 13 will be Crazy Hair / Clash Day.

Monday Munchies: Every Monday at lunchtime, the PTA sells healthy snacks, pencils, school bracelets and other small items. The fourth Monday of the month popcorn is sold. Students can purchase a punch card for $5.

eScrip Program: The Southwood PTA has signed up for the eScrip program; our group ID# is 8566764. Visit www.escrip.com for more information, or to register your Safeway Club Card, and others if you would like.

Printer Ink Cartridge Recycling: The Southwood PTA is now collecting used, ready to throw away ink cartridges from printers. The PTA will be recycling them for cash. Place the cartridge(s) in a baggie marked "PTA" and send it in with your child.
